GYS Initiates Construction of Control Tank to Improve Water Quality and Support Local Community

GYS continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental responsibility and community well-being through a new initiative to improve water quality around its factory area.

The company has identified that the water flow from nearby residential areas to the GYS factory premises contains household waste elements. This channel has existed for many years and functions as an essential drainage route for local residents. Based on a recent site survey, the GYS team found that closing the water channel completely could lead to stagnant water and flooding in the residential area, potentially causing environmental and social challenges.

To provide a sustainable solution, GYS plans to construct a control tank that will serve as a filtration system to remove household waste before the water enters the factory’s drainage network. This measure will help ensure that only clean water flows into the system, thereby reducing environmental impact and promoting a healthier ecosystem for the surrounding community.

The construction of the control tank began on Monday, September 29th, 2025, and is fully funded by GYS as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Through this initiative, GYS is contributing positively to environmental preservation while fostering a cooperative and harmonious relationship with residents living near the factory. The project has already started to ensure cleaner water flow into the factory drainage system and supports a healthier ecosystem for the surrounding community.

This project reflects GYS’s ongoing dedication to sustainability and community engagement. By taking proactive steps to address shared environmental challenges, GYS reaffirms its role as a responsible corporate citizen committed to creating lasting positive impacts for both the community and the environment.
