PT Garuda Yamato Steel (GYS) recently collaborated with BSPJI Jakarta to conduct a two-day intensive training session on December 9–10. This initiative was designed to improve certification services and enhance the expertise of BSPJI auditors, highlighting GYS’s commitment to industry excellence and professional development.
The first day focused on an in-depth technical session led by GYS’s Quality Control (QC) representatives. The session covered the latest SNI 9150:2023 standards for Hot Rolled Steel Profiles. Participants gained essential insights into updated guidelines to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
On the second day, BSPJI auditors engaged in practical training with a factory visit to observe GYS’s production processes firsthand. Discussions during the session encompassed critical topics such as raw material selection, production techniques, quality control protocols, defect identification, and process monitoring.
The collaborative training provided a comprehensive understanding of GYS’s state-of-the-art processes, bridging theory with industrial application. By equipping auditors with this knowledge, both GYS and BSPJI are reinforcing the importance of quality standards in the steel industry.
